Portland’s Most Romantic Restaurants

00:00:00

Valentine’s Day is a week away 💗 And nothing says romance like a fancy meal or a night on the town ❣️ Eater Portland editor Brooke Jackson-Glidden offered her picks for Portland’s most romantic bars and restaurants 💘 Here are the best spots that still have reservations available or that don’t require planning ahead:

3 With Reservations Available

These romantic spots still had Feb. 14 reservations, as of yesterday 🎁

This wine bar has a tasty menu, and it’s just perfect for a romantic evening. “It's completely full of candles,” says Jackson-Glidden. “It has this very romantic, soft, intimate sort of vibe to it.” Recommendation: Get the tonnato toast. (Reservations are still available.)

St. Jack 🇫🇷

The French bistro serves up some of the city’s best food. They have a special Valentine’s Day three-course menu ($305 for a couple).

This bar also serves excellent food. It’s “such a beautiful space [with] really low lighting” and with “all these sweet little nooks — which I think are really romantic for a date,” says Jackson-Glidden. (They have $231.80 for two, with the option to order high-end champagne.)

3 With No Reservations Required

If you haven’t planned ahead, these romantic bars don’t require reservations and offer a more economical option ⚠️ But they could get crowded on Valentine’s Day.

This is a classic Portland cocktail bar in a downtown hotel.

It has a good happy hour and good vibes.

This is a lovely location for first dates but also Valentine’s Day. Recommendation: Order the nachos and the diplomatic pouch, a cocktail tailored to your own preferences
