This week there are new accolades for the city’s bars and restaurants:
One of America’s Best Bars Is in Portland
Esquire Magazine named The Uncanny one of America’s best bars, saying there’s a “cocktail adventure” to be had there. “The love child of a speakeasy and a dive” (which is The Uncanny’s tagline) is on North Mississippi Avenue and serves vegan food and cocktails inspired by New Orleans classics. Bonus: The name is from the comic books series “The Uncanny X-Men.” [Oregonian]
