Just four months after the Oregonian called it “the best brunch in town,” Fair Weather shut down. The restaurant on Southeast Clinton Street had been trying a new counter-service model, but owner Derek Hanson said slow weekdays and high labor costs made the eatery unsustainable. [Oregonian]

LGBTQ+ Icon to Close
Scandals announced it is closing Sept. 21 after 46 years on Southwest Harvey Milk Street. The nightclub said in a social media post that it plans to open a “family friendly” version in Northeast Alberta. [Portland Business Journal 🔒]
