This week, there’s a fun new bar in town — and some highly anticipated openings:
🥒Portland Pickles Sports Bar
The Portland Pickles, a minor-league baseball team, now have their own bar, on North Mississippi, across town from their Lents ballpark. It’s your spot for a pickle-tini or pickle-rita cocktail, as well as pickle bobbleheads and other merchandise. The sports bar also promises to cater to fans who want to watch Australian Rules football, European rugby, and Minor League Baseball. [Eater Portland]
🍏Spring and Summer Openings
Bauman’s on Oak, a Southeast Portland taproom for the award-winning cidery, is among this summer and spring’s most anticipated restaurant and bar openings. Also, Bar Loon will open in the space previously home to the vegan bar Sweet Hereafter and will serve both vegan food and a bistro burger. [Eater Portland]
🌯 Burrito Spot Moves Downtown
In early April Los Burros Supremos will be reopening in Ace Hotel, where Kenny and Zuke's used to be. Chef Adán Fausto had been working out of the old Woodsman space, on Southeast Division, until last weekend. You may have heard of Fausto’s previous ventures, including the pop-up Paradise Mariscos in Güero’s parking lot. [Oregonian]
🌮 Superfan Loves Taco Gang
The food cart Taco Gang has a bike-riding superfan who’ll drop everything to get there when chile relleno burritos are the special of the day. He also likes the carnitas quesadillas, crunchy potato-stuffed tacos dorados, or red pozole with pork. [Portland Monthly]
