Clogs are having a moment: #Clog has over 60 million views on Tiktok, and celebrities like Bella Hadid and Jennifer Garner are wearing them regularly. But can Portland take credit for one of 2022’s biggest trends in footwear?
Today on the show, we’re talking about Portland’s unique love affair with clogs, from the feet of workers at the Tillamook Cheese factory to their high fashion moment in the 1970s punk scene. Our guide will be Mark Casperson, whose family has been making and selling custom clogs at the Multnomah Leather Shop for generations.
