Portland Pizza Ranked Among the Best in the USA (Again)
Portland pizza is strangely controversial. Not because of how it tastes but for how highly rated it has become. Ken’s Artisan Pizza was even crowned the second-best shop IN THE WORLD earlier this year. Plus a few weeks ago, the Top 50 Pizza list included not just Ken’s Artisan Pizza as the third-best in the country, but also ranked Apizza Scholls and Nostrana among the best.
In celebration of that news, City Cast Portland host Claudia Meza is returning to a conversation she had with local pizza expert, Blaine Bartholomew. He’s been making pies and documenting the Portland pizza scene since 2014. They answer the question, is Portland pizza really that good?
Pizza spots mentioned on the show:
- Ken’s Artisan Pizza
- Scottie’s Pizza Parlor
- Lovely’s Fifty Fifty
- Gracie’s Apizza
- Dove Vivi
- Please Lousie
- Apizza Scholls
- Ranch Pizza
- Pizza Jerk
- Boxcar Pizza
- Cafe Olli
- Escape From New York Pizza
- Signal Station Pizza
