Time for some food news — where to eat this week and more:
Buying and Selling Restaurant Reservations?
Apparently there is an app for buying and selling restaurant reservations: Appointment Trader. It’s usually easy enough to plan ahead and get a Portland restaurant reservation. (Kann, possibly the city’s most difficult reservation, does require promptly reserving at noon on the first of the month, but it’s possible.) So far in Portland, only 15 Kann reservations have sold. It’s a relief that the cutthroat trend hasn’t caught on here. [Eater Portland]
Where To Find a Tasty Lunch
Lunch can be hit or miss in Portland. Portland Monthly has some recommendations for the next time you have a business meeting, time to dine with a friend, or just want to eat with your laptop. Their recommendations include Meat Cheese Bread, Pizza Thief, Ya Hala, Sweedeedee, Higgins, and 10 more spots across town. [Portland Monthly]

Closing of Two Portland Mainstays
The remaining locations of the ramen chain Boxer, which first opened 11 years ago, closed last weekend. The closings were part of the ongoing bankruptcy proceedings for the company MMMco., which also owns SuperDeluxe as well as Kinnamons and Baes Chicken. Those last two chains remain unaffected by the bankruptcy. [Willamette Week]
And The Sudra, which was once a chain of four vegan restaurants, will close its final location too — at the end of the month. It’s not exactly clear what’s next for the owner. [Oregonian]
